DEI SERVICES

DEI is for everyone

DEI stands for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Diversity refers to the diversity of people, or in a business context, the diversity of the workforce. Diversity is a broad concept and it can be both visible and invisible. Each individual has a different mix of backgrounds, starting points and characteristics that affect our habits, abilities and opportunities in the labour arena. Equity refers to the desire to create equal opportunities for all types of individuals to succeed in the workplace, with an awareness of their diversity. There are many types of inequalities, which can be built in, through time in different structures or societies, businesses and cultures, or in the way we are brought up at home. Such structures can create unequal opportunities for minority groups whose backgrounds, starting points and characteristics are not reflected in a set of established ways of doing things. Inclusion refers to the inclusion of each individual as a full member. Inclusion also refers to a climate that is safe enough for everyone to act as themselves and contribute to the community. DEI work aims to promote these three aspects in the organisation and in the work environment. The work is important because it fosters innovation, improves employee engagement, helps attract and retain a diverse talent pool, and enhances an organisation's competitiveness. It also contributes to a more humane, fair and equitable society at large and is an essential element of sustainable business growth.

1:1 Consulting "New Ideas"

These sessions are designed to stimulate innovation and provide new ideas for inclusive workplace solutions. The meeting is also an opportunity to freely discuss the specific challenges that need support.

The meeting can also be held together with the DEI team of the company and can serve as a kind of sparring or brainstorming session, jointly reflecting on different topics and angles for results.

Job interview

DEI survey

This comprehensive survey is an essential tool to obtain the necessary information on the actual experiences, capacities, needs and aspirations of personnel in relation to diversity, equity and inclusion. The survey will raise overall understanding of these issues, enable data-driven work and provide a clear motivational basis for all personnel to understand what needs to be done to advance DEI issues. The survey also provides valuable information on existing strengths that contribute to the advancement of diversity, equity and inclusion.

DEI training

I provide workshop-style training as a separate service or as part of a larger package. Training topics can focus on issues such as inclusion, diversity management or intercultural communication. However, the themes are always modified according to the context and the specific needs. It can often be a good idea to start with an introductory training course. Other topics that can be focused on include unconscious bias, psychological safety in the workplace, cohesion, identities at work, gender diversity, neurodiversity at work, understanding trauma at work and many more. The more we understand diversity, the easier it becomes for us to be more inclusive.
